Watch Dogs 2
The Watch Dogs 2 video game is the sequel to the hit 2014 game Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs 2 is an open-world free roaming game and is quite similar to Grand Theft Auto, but is more focused on hacking and technology than GTA.
In the game you play the part of an expert hacker, Marcus Holloway, who has been wrongly accused of committing a crime that he did not do. Marcus must try to take down the system that he believes wronged him along with many others by teaming up with a hacker group called DedSec.
The main tools at Marcus’ disposal to help him are his hacking skills. The game is set in the San Francisco Bay and Silicon Valley areas and pretty much every part of the game has computer technology implemented in it. Every person in the game has a phone full of detailed personal information, every car has a computer built it and everything is intertwined with technology that can take advantage of to help you win.
Some examples of how you can use hacking to take advantage of the technology include causing a distraction by making every light at a traffic junction green, resulting in a huge car crash or you could even take control of a crane, and use that to wreak destruction on the city. You can also obtain someone’s bank information by looking at them, going to the nearest ATM, and taking money from their account.
Watch Dogs 2 has two modes – Single Player and Multiplayer. The Single Player mode follows Marcus’ struggle against the system that has been arresting and convicting innocent people, while the Multiplayer mode has a few different modes in it.
The first Multiplayer mode is the ‘cooperative story’ mode, where you and a friend can help each other as you play the single player story and also help each other gain followers.
Second is the ‘online invasions’ mode, a head-to-head mode where either you invade a single player campaign or you have your own single player game invaded. The invader in the ‘online invasions’ mode has to install malicious viruses on the defender’s systems.
Finally in Multiplayer, there is the ‘bounty hunter’ mode. If you cause to much chaos in single player, this mode will activate automatically and an outside player will then try to take you down with the help of the police in exchange for a reward. If you can kill the outside player before he gets you then you will get a reward yourself.
Watch Dogs 2 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and comes in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Gold.
The Standard Edition is just the base game. Deluxe edition gives you the base game, plus two skin packs, which let you change the appearance of you, your vehicle, your drone, and your weapons. Finally, the Gold Edition includes everything that Deluxe does, plus another skin pack, and more story missions.
