Lego
A perennial favourite, Lego is going to be huge this year with a big range of new sets being launched in time for Christmas.
The Nexo Knights General Magmar’s 2-in-1 Siege Machine of Doom Construction Set features two platforms and giant wheels with spikes that switch the vehicle into siege mode. You can fire the dual catapults and disc shooter to knock Clay Moorington off his Hover Horse. Use the swords to play out battles on the ground as General Magmar and Flama take on Clay with his Claymore sword for the Book of Destruction. The set comes with three scannable shields and three mini-figures and is suitable for ages 8-14.
Stars Wars Toys
The Sphero Star Wars BB-8 is a smartphone app-enabled Droid whose movements and personality are as authentic as they are advanced. Based on your interactions, BB-8 will show a range of expressions and perk up when you give voice commands. Watch your Droid explore autonomously, guide BB-8 yourself, or create and view holographic recordings.
