My training for the 9bar9x9 Ultra Marathon in October is going quite well and therefore I am starting to look for the right intermediate events to add into my race schedule to help with my preparation.
2015 Race Schedule
My race schedule for this year currently looks like this:
13th June – The 9bar Holly Challenge – Road Half Marathon
28th June – North Downs Run – 30km Trail race
13th September – Farnham Pilgrim Marathon – Trail race
10th October – 9bar9x9 Trail Running Festival – 81km Trail race
I am still looking for one or two more races for July and August and I am also thinking about doing some 5km parkrun races, though I am concerned these might impact my ability to do a long training run on the same weekend.
Do let me know what you think of this racing schedule. Does this look sensible for a first-time ultra runner? Are there any races you could recommend for July or August 2015?
