Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Call of Duty has been one of the top First Person Shooter games since the first one in the series was released back in 2003 but it was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that really caused to series to take off big time.
Now, the Call of Duty series is back with Infinite Warfare. In contrast with Battlefield 1’s which goes back in time to the First World War, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a futuristic game, which sees you fighting against the Settlement Defense Front, a group of insurgents that separated from the United Nations Space Alliance.
These radicals aim to attack and take over your outer space settlements, which the inhabitants of Earth now rely on for resources that have run out on their home planet. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has three separate game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies.
Campaign is the main story mode, which is a single player game. Multiplayer is the most common mode, and is probably the main reason most people play Call of Duty. This multiplayer experience adds more fluid movement, upgrades, and weapons.
The Zombies mode is a close second to multiplayer for most Call of Duty players. Zombies have been a central part of Call of Duty ever since the World at War game that was released in 2008. Zombie mode is a crazy game mode where you have to fight back against the zombie hordes in different locations. For this release in the series, the fight against the undead takes place in a 1980’s amusement park. Players can buy power-ups, find Easter eggs, perks, and obtain new weapons, ride the roller coaster or check out the games arcade while fighting off the zombie invasion.
Possibly the most well received part of this new game is the addition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. For just a little more money than the basic game, the Legacy Edition includes a fully remastered version of the most popular Call of Duty game, including the campaign with fan favourite missions and ten maps for use in multiplayer games.
The updated multiplayer version of the original Modern Warfare game includes killstreaks, experience points, and prestige but also has the classic Modern Warfare multiplayer game modes.
There are three editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to choose from: The Standard Edition, which includes only the Infinite Warfare game, is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The Legacy Edition is also available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and includes the Modern Warfare Remastered game.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for PS4 and PC, and in addition to the Modern Warfare Remaster, also includes a season pass which gives you access to all current and future DLC for free.
Finally, for collectors, there is the Loot Crate Edition, which includes a messenger bag, lanyard, S.C.A.R. pin, art cards, flashlight, and a beanie hat as well as the game itself.
