This post marks the end of a 30 day blogging challenge that I have been undertaking. Over the past month I have blogged on many subjects that interest me and I have had some great interactions with readers which I am very grateful for.
Structure Of The Blogging Challenge
The blogging challenge is run by Sarah and Kevin Arrow of Sark e-Media. The challenge can be started at any time and provides daily tasks, sent by email, that encourage blog writing and the development of skills to help you improve your blog over the longer term.
The daily email provides a framework for writing a post, often linking to supporting material and examples showing how the particular skill discussed that day can be implemented.
Blogging Challenge Community
There is a Facebook group where bloggers are encouraged to provide a link to their daily post. This provides a place for sharing and discussion and is a great way to explore how other bloggers are approaching the challenge.
Blogging Challenge Results
I have really enjoyed taking part in this blogging challenge and would recommend it to anyone who wants to take their blog up a notch. In a month you will create a significant amount of new content and learn a lot about the art of writing and promoting blog posts.
Although gaining traffic is not the most important part of taking part in a blogging challenge, I do think it is a useful metric to measure the impact of the effort expended. In my case I saw a traffic increase of over 260% over the previous month! I also saw a rise in affiliate income from the products available through my website.
